In 2017 FIS were awarded the best non-retail fuel installation of the year at the prestigious APEA awards for our works undertaken at M25 J26 truck stop.
The fuel system was installed and commissioned by FIS and comprised of UPP secondary contained pipework, FE Petro submersible fuel pumps and EVO tank gauging equipment. With an underground split 90,000 litre storage tank and dispensers with payment terminals for Diesel, Gas Oil and AdBlue.
“We are proud to have completed this state of the art truck re-fuelling facility for our client.
The advanced technology used will help protect the environment and give the site manager and his maintenance teams the information and tools they need to do their job better and more efficiently, saving money and increasing their profitability year on year.” – Andrew West, Managing Director of FIS.
Pilgrim Food service tasked FIS with their requirements of a bulk diesel and AdBlue storage solution with separate twin station fuelling lanes. They operated a 36,000-litre diesel fuel station with a 2,500 AdBlue tank. Their objective was to increase bulk storage capacity to purchase diesel and AdBlue more efficiently reducing the frequency of their fills, whilst at the same time streamlining the efficiency of the nightly re-fuelling of their fleet as the drivers returned to the warehouse.
The fuel system was designed, installed and commissioned by FIS LTD utilising a KPS secondary contained pipe system for Diesel/Gas oil and Durapipe PLX Blue for the AdBlue, monitored by a class one over pressure leak detection system with OLE tank gauging equipment. In addition to the above ground tanks from Tuffa UK, the installation featured six Hytek Alpha dispensers controlled by a Fuel-Link ST management system.
